Had you been repenting after getting jabbed with Covaxin thinking you won’t be allowed to travel abroad? Well, while the Bharat Biotech manufactured vaccine still awaits its nod from WHO, some countries have started accepting it for entry. And Oman is the latest addition to the list. Middle Eastern country Oman is now allowing tourists who are fully vaccinated with Covaxin to skip quarantine, as confirmed by the Indian embassy in Muscat. Sri Lanka, Iran, Mauritius, Nepal and Greece have also approved Covaxin for the entry of tourists.

The Final Dose Must Be Taken At Least 14 Days Before Arrival Date
The Indian embassy in Muscat has stated in a press release, “All passengers from India who have received two doses of Covaxin at least 14 days before the estimated arrival date will now be able to travel to Oman without the requirement of quarantine. All other COVID-19 related requirements/conditions, such as pre-arrival RT-PCR test shall be applicable for such passengers. ” The press release also states that the notification will ease travel to Oman for Indian nationals vaccinated with Covaxin. Passengers vaccinated with Covishield can also enter Oman without quarantine.

Pre-requisites For Travelling To Oman From India
Those travelling to Oman from India must download the Tarassud+ mobile app and upload the vaccination certificate and negative test report on the same. The pre-arrival RT-PCR test report must have QR code. Vaccines other than Covaxin and Covishield approved in Oman are Sputnik, Oxford AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNtech, Moderna, SinoVac and Sinopharm. Meanwhile, here is a list of other countries that are allowing travellers vaccinated with Covaxin.
