Agnipath Protest led to so many rampages around the country. The central government introduced the ‘Agnipath Scheme’ on 14 June 2022 and since then various violent protests are going on in different parts of India. The protestors set fire to stations and trains and vandalised railway properties. Due to these ongoing protests, the Indian Railways took the decision to cancel many trains and save the railway properties.

Indian Railways Cancelled Over 700 Trains

The protests are getting scary with each passing day in various states in India such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana, West Bengal, and Rajasthan. According to Jagran, the protesters and mobs of the Agnipath protest damaged about 700 crores worth of Indian Railways’ property. As per reports, Indian Railways cancelled 673 trains on Sunday. Also, they partially cancelled 46 trains. Added to this, they terminated more trains too.

If you booked your tickets for any of these cancelled traians, then you can get back a refund easily. All you need to do is to follow some steps and within some time you will get your hands on the refund. No matter if you booked these tickets online or from the counter, claiming the money back is simple.

If you used the IRCTC app or website to book the ticket, then you do not have to follow any steps or procedures. After the cancellation, you will simply receive the refund in your bank account.
