Canada, Germany Yet To Give A Nod On Covaxin

Although WHO has already recognised Covaxin for EUL, Canada to yet to give a nod on it. According to a Hindu Business Line report, a Canadian High Commission official said, “Canada does not review every vaccine the WHO has accepted. For a vaccine to be reviewed and approved in Canada, the manufacturer of the vaccine needs to submit an application with all data and evidence as to the clinical trials conducted and the scientific data about its safety and efficiency.” Germany too requires incoming Indian travellers to get vaccinated with Covishield. The Centre is continuing to communicate with the rest of the world for further acceptance of the globe’s largest COVID-19 drive.
