Indian Railways launched Vande Bharat Express back in 2019 and the first train took off for its journey on 15 February 2019. The train was inaugurated from New Delhi and its destination was Varanasi. Right now, there are 25 of these trains providing services in different parts of India. Now, India is about to get some new Vande Bharat Express soon. Here’s all you need to about the launch of some more semi-high-speed trains.

Vande Bharat Express Has A New Look!

The fastest train in India now has a brand new look. All these years, we have seen these trains be white and blue in colour. Now, the trains are getting decked up in grey orange, and white colours. These semi-high-speed trains cover many parts of different states and cities of India. And now the Indian Railways is planning and working to launch more trains on new routes in different cities of the country. This is surely going to boost railway transportation and enhance connectivity.

Indian Railways Likely To Launch 9 Semi-High-Speed Trains In Different Routes

New trains and new routes are coming up soon. Indian Railways is now planning to launch and inaugurate 9 new Vande Bharat Express in various routes. Chennai’s Integral Coach Factory (ICF) is working on developing the rakes of these new trains, according to a report by Zee News. Among these 9 new trains, poll-bound Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are about to get the most number of trains. In addition to the preparations for the new fastest trains in the country, there are also plans to conduct an event to launch all the new trains at once.

Right now, only 5 routes have been assigned. They are:

  • Indore – Jaipur Vande Bharat Express
  • Jaipur – Udaipur Vande Bharat Express
  • Puri – Rourkela Vande Bharat Express
  • Patna – Howrah Vande Bharat Express
  • Jaipur – Chandigarh Vande Bharat Express
