Pineapple, Step Aside! This Aloo Gobi Pizza Is The New Controversial Topping We Love

Pizza has always been a hot topic when it comes to food debates. Some people love it with pineapple, others can’t stand the idea. Then came cauliflower, not just as a topping, but as the base of the pizza. But now, cauliflower is back in the spotlight in a whole new way, and this time, it’s sharing the stage with potatoes. Sounds strange? Maybe. But once you hear what happened, you might just want a slice.

Jake Dryan, a content creator and plant-based chef on Instagram, is known for his fun and creative food videos. In one of his latest posts, he did something totally unexpected, experimented with the conventional pizza, and made an Aloo Gobi Pizza. Yes, you read that right. The famous Indian vegetable dish made with potatoes and cauliflower got a pizza makeover. And the internet is absolutely loving it.

Jake started by making the aloo gobi sabzi from scratch. This isn’t your average leftover hack; he made it fresh, cooking the potatoes and cauliflower in a delicious, spiced masala just like it’s done in Indian homes. But then came the twist. Instead of serving it with rice or roti, he decided to use it as a pizza topping.

And he didn’t cut corners with the base either. He used dough that had been fermented for 48 hours, stretched it out, spread some of that same flavourful masala as the sauce, sprinkled a little cheese on top, and finally added the warm, cooked aloo gobi. Then, he cooked the whole thing in a fire oven. Finally, it turned into a crispy pizza that looked nothing like the ones we’re used to, but somehow still looked incredibly delicious.

Netizens Cannot Wait To Give It A Try

On Instagram, Jake’s pizza has gotten tons of attention, and netizens couldn’t stop showering love on it. One user commented, “Just know my nani loves you for this.” Another said, “I love the aloo gobi sandwich, now this pizza looks like a game changer.” Some people were sceptical at first, but then admitted they were curious to try it. One user even joked, “Let’s just call it gobi sabzi on differently cooked naan.”

And perhaps the most surprising comment came from an Italian follower who wrote, “Probably as an Italian, I should be offended, but I love pizza and I love aloo gobi as well, so approved.” Now that’s high praise.

What started off as a fun food experiment quickly turned into a crowd favourite. Some people even said this was their dream pizza. Others loved this hack of using leftover sabzi in a new and exciting way. It’s not every day you see such a strange combo get so much love online.

So, whether you’re a pizza purist or someone who loves to experiment with flavours, the Aloo Gobi Pizza might just be the delicious desi twist you didn’t know you needed.
