The much-awaited Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is finally open to everyone. The great makeover of the highway looks drastically different. In the shared video, it can be easily seen how the lanes are much wider than before. Vehicles are running more efficiently now with all the enhanced and improved facilities after the humongous transformation. The change and makeover from the then highway to the present one are so influential and clearly show what an incredible development this is!
All You Need To Know About This Highway:
The Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway is a 118-kilometre-long expressway that will help all travelers to reduce their travel time to a huge extent. From 3.5 hours, the time to travel between Bengaluru and Mysuru is reduced to 1.5 hours only. This grand expressway also includes 4 rail overbridges, 9 significant bridges, 40 minor bridges, and 89 underpasses and overpasses.
This project took a time span of about 5 years and was constructed in 2 phases. In the first phase, the construction of a 58 km stretch between Bengaluru and Nidaghatta took place. And the second phase was about constructing the 61 km stretch between Nidaghatta and Mysuru.

The toll collection is all set to start on 15 March 2023. It is starting from Bengaluru to Maddur. The expressway has 2 points for toll collection. The toll tax is applicable to 6 kinds of vehicles. Once the toll collection starts functioning on 15 March, no two-wheeler vehicles and autorickshaws will be allowed to travel on the highway.
