PM Modi To Inaugurate Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava Festival, A Celebration Of Karnataka’s Culture

Karnataka is fondly called “One State, Many Worlds.” This is because you can find everything here they say. The state is famous for its heritage destinations, temples, wildlife parks, hill stations, mesmerising waterfalls, and breathtaking coastline. Celebrating the state’s rich culture and heritage, PM Modi will inaugurate Karnataka’s  Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava Festival today.

In the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in the capital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today kick off a two-day celebration honouring the 75th anniversary of the Delhi Karnataka Sangha. He will also inaugurate the cultural festival, Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava. The festival is being held to honour Karnataka’s culture, traditions, and history in keeping with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” 

Hundreds of artists will have the opportunity to demonstrate the cultural history of Karnataka through dance, music, drama, and poetry at the event, which is part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.” Around 1000 artists from different districts of the state are invited for the event and its cultural programmes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the people on this occasion.

Delhi Karnataka Sangha’s 75th Anniversary

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Minister for Culture G Kishan Reddy, Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji of Suttur Math, Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji of Adichunchanagiri Math, and  Nanjavadhutha Swamiji of Sri Spatika Pura will also be present for the event. Over 3,500 of the 10,000–12,000 Karnataka natives who currently reside in the nation’s capital are members of the Delhi Karnataka Sangha. 

The Sangha aims to build a cultural bond and bring all the people together. Karnataka‘s Minister for Kannada and Culture, V. Sunil Kumar, will be present on February 26 for the valedictory function.
