You can now live inside a luxurious tent on the banks of the holy Ganga and soak in the gentle river breeze. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Varanasi’s stunning Tent City via video conferencing. It will remain open for tourists from October to June every year.

The Tent City has been one of the most ambitious projects of the nation’s tourism sector to let travellers experience the rich culture of Varanasi, soak in spirituality and bring home traditional products. Also, the tents are equipped with world-class amenities. The Tent City Varanasi is being aptly called ‘The Spiritual Luxury’. Varanasi attracts many pilgrims from all over the globe every year. This new initiative has the potential to give a massive boost to tourism in the region.

Bookings To The Destination Are Open Now

The Tent City will be open from October to June. For the remaining three months, the tents will be disassembled due to the increase in river water levels. Thus, barring the monsoon season, tourists can visit the Tent City at any time of the year. Boats from different ghats in Varanasi will take tourists to the Tent City. The good news is that Tent City is already accepting bookings now. Travellers can book packages to the destination by visiting the official tent city website or calling at +91 81500 81500.
