French President Emmanuel Macron visited India a few days back. He was the chief guest at the Republic Day parade that marched the Kartavya Path. During his visit to India, he explored Delhi and Jaipur and attended some grand events too. On this work trip to our country, President Macron also made some important announcements. He stated something specific for the Indian students.

President Macron Aims To See 30,000 Indian Students In France

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Emmanuel Macron shared a picture with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Emmanuel Macron talked about a huge target to welcome 30,000 Indian students in France in 2030. Within 2030, the president of France aims to encourage more and more students from India to pursue their higher studies in this country in Europe. While visiting Jaipur, he announced this goal of encouraging and welcoming Indian students.

There are some plans and proposals to make this target successful and see 30,000 Indian students learning and pursuing higher education in France. Taking to the microblogging site, the President shared some points to achieve this ambitious target. He is determined to make it happen.

According to the social media post, France is launching new pathways to learn the French language in public schools. Also, they are developing the network of Alliances francaises. Another important step is to open international classes for students to join the universities even without knowing French.

He Announced Something Major For Indian Students Who Pursued Master’s Degree Or More In France

For Indian students who have completed a Master’s degree or pursued further higher studies in France, the French President announced a Schengen visa for 5 years. Also, these students need to spend a minimum of one semester studying in France to be able to get this 5-year Schengen visa. This is a significant decision to achieve the goal of welcoming 30,000 Indian students within the year 2030.

Another step to establishing France as an important country for pursuing higher studies is the nation’s willingness to facilitate the visa process for Indian students who have studied in this European country before.
