However, passengers who were stuck on the runway of Athens in Qatar Airways flight QR204 faced all this and more, as the flight was delayed. The incident, which took place on Monday, June 11th, left people fuming as the air-conditioners failed to work.

Recently, the Qatar Airways flight QR204 was delayed in Athens, Greece. With temperatures reaching 35°C, dozens of passengers were seen struggling with the heat, as they took off their clothes! People on board included athletes, who were returning from the IFMA World Muaythai Championships in Athens. As it happens, they claimed that they were left on the Qatar Airways plane with no air-conditioning.
This happened due to a technical fault encountered by the aircraft, as it was set to depart for Doha in the Middle East. With the emergency weather bulletin being issued that day, there were already fears of excessive heat in Greece.

In fact, several people shared footage of passengers on the plane, where they were seen taking off their clothes while being drenched in sweat. Eventually, travellers were allowed to disembark the aircraft and return to the terminal building to wait for further instructions.
As such, South African sports therapist, Garth Collins had also shared many videos of the incident on his Instagram. He mentions that flight QR204 from Athens was handled poorly. In a report by South China Morning Post, it was mentioned that the flight took off on Tuesday morning with a delay of 16 hours. They produced this data from flightradar24. In fact, the airline spokesperson also issued a statement apologising for the delay to the passengers, who were travelling from Athens to Doha citing a technical issue.
