That’s right, according to ILoveQatar, non-GCC travellers can now book their seats through the MASAR app. Just enjoy a smooth sailing of 70–80 minutes across the shimmering blue gulf waters.
The ferry connects Al-Ruwais Port in northern Qatar to Sa’ada Marina in Bahrain. That totals roughly 35 nautical miles (about 65 km). For the first time, this maritime corridor welcomes passengers from all over the world. This marks a milestone moment in the travel industry of GCC, marking a step toward a more integrated and accessible GCC.
This service was first announced on 6 November 2025, but was only allowing the GCC nationals. But within days, MASAR started booking for non-GCC passengers, too. This signals strong demand and regional interest.
What To Expect Onboard
Don’t think this is your average ferry ride. Travellers have the option to choose from Standard and VIP seating. The ferry accommodates up to 28 and 32 passengers, respectively. The vessels come equipped with modern comforts, like plush seating, refreshments, and attentive onboard service.
All trips follow the strict safety and customs regulations. The guidelines are set by both nations to ensure smooth, secure, and punctual voyages. And yes, if you’re travelling with kids under two years old will sail at half price.
