Rail Tracks Destroyed Due To Biporjoy in Rajasthan Now Restored, Min Shares Before-After Pics

The cyclonic storm Biporjoy, which means disaster or calamity in Bengali, caused a lot of destruction. The movement of the trains in the Kutch and Saurashtra regions of Gujarat was badly affected by the very severe cyclonic storm. Many trains were cancelled as the railway tracks in Rajasthan were destroyed because of the cyclone. Now these tracks have been restored, and the Railway Minister shared the before-and-after pictures.

Rail Tracks Destroyed By Biporjoy Now Restored  

On June 18, Indian Railways cancelled many trains running on the route of Kutch and Saurashtra region of Gujarat due to the severe cyclonic storm Biporjoy. But not only trains were cancelled, many were also diverted because of the storm. 

Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw tweeted that about five railway tracks got uprooted and breached due to the storm. He also mentioned that the Indian Railways acted quickly and diverted all the passenger trains. The restoration work had also begun in full swing. 

On June 20, he shared before-and-after pictures of all the sites where the tracks were uprooted as the restoration work got completed. The tracks were restored properly in just two days.

Netizens Applauded The Ministry

The before-and-after pictures of the five destroyed tracks in Rajasthan were uploaded by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He posted them on Twitter earlier this morning. The picture post has by far garnered over 424.9K views and over 11.9K likes from Twitteratis. 

People applauded the ministry for their quick action on the issue and for completing the restoration work in absolutely no time. 

Talking about track restoration, Indian Railways did a fantastic job at restoring the tracks from the Odisha incident as well. After restoration work was started on a war footing, passenger trains started running again on the restored tracks more than 51 hours after the triple train collision in Balasore, Odisha. As services on the up and down lines began weeks ago, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw waved at travellers and staff members and wished them a safe trip.
