The newest addition to the ‘Vande Bharat’ generation of Indian Railways was flagged off today by PM Narendra Modi. The event took place through video conferencing. This was Rajasthan’s first-ever semi-high-speed train and it was an exciting moment. Operating from Ajmer to Delhi Cantt., this train covers the distance in 5 hrs and 15 mins. Rajasthan’s Vande Bharat Express Inauguration

The inauguration of this semi-high-speed train took place today via video conferencing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it. He welcomed everyone present during the event. He stated that this is the state’s Vande Bharat train and it will help the tourism industry. It will also help pilgrims visit religious sites. In the two years, this is the sixth semi-high-speed train that he has flagged off.

This train has proved to save a lot of travel time for passengers. From manufacturing to security, it offers an overall amazing experience. This train is the mark of various new beginnings as it is the first indigenous semi-high-speed train and is compact and efficient. In the history of Indian Railways, this is the only train to cross the Sahyadri mountains.

Take A Look At The Interiors Of The Train!

Hours after the inauguration, the official Twitter account of IRCTC shared pics of the inauguration and passengers who were travelling by this train. You can see the pleasant expression on their faces. There are children holding drawings of the Vande Bharat Express and displaying them proudly! The tweet was captioned stating that IRCTC will be providing catering services to these passengers.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Railways has also tweeted images of the train and captioned it as “all set for the royal run”. From operating on overhead electric (OHE) lines to reducing the distance between Delhi and Jaipur, this Vande Bharat Express is paving the way to socio-economic development.

The era of this new generation train has just begun. And the government plans on bringing more such trains to reduce travelling time and connect various parts of the country.
