In July 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the KKV Bridge. It is the first double-decker flyover in Rajkot on Kalavad Road. This bridge crosses over the Chimanbhai Shukla flyover and was constructed with an estimated cost of ₹129 crores. The flyover proved to be a major help for locals as it decongested traffic by connecting Kalavad Road to the ring road in the city. It is 1.15 kilometres long and 15 metres wide.
