The much-awaited day of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir is finally here. Devotees from India and even abroad have been waiting for the day and gladly, the celebrations began with pomp and glory. The ceremony is being attended by eminent personalities. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to renowned politicians, Bollywood celebrities, sportspersons, and who’s who from different walks of life are present in Ayodhya today. To safeguard the attendees and the Mandir, and to ensure safe and smooth celebrations, major security protocols and measures have been deployed all around the holy town.
Major Security Measures Positioned In Ayodhya For Ram Mandir Celebrations

Different arrangements have been made in Ayodhya for the grand celebrations of Ram Mandir’s inauguration. The deployment of concerned departments began on Sunday itself. Firstly, Ayodhya is divided into two zones; Red and Yellow. Next, units of different groups well-equipped to tackle any emergency have been stationed in the sacred city. The units deployed for this occasion are:
- Central Industrial Security Force
- Central Reserve Police Force (CoBRA)
- National Disaster Response Force
- National Security Guard (Black Cat Commandos)
- Rapid Action Force
- Special Protection Group
Police forces have also been positioned in Ayodhya on Sunday, according to a report by WION. Apart from these units and police officers stationed all around Ayodhya, there are snipers deployed as well. From the rooftops to some crucial points, snipers have been positioned. To observe everything, the Intelligence Bureau and RAW have the responsibilities.
Technologically advanced gadgets have been installed to ensure proper checking and focus on security. There are X-ray luggage scanners, about 10,000 CCTV cameras, anti-drone system, and some AI-based tech to monitor operations and ensure safety. Also, police officers speaking in different languages are a part of security in Ayodhya. They have been trained in soft skills.

To monitor security inside the temple, the Uttar Pradesh government installed CCTVs and stationed an Intelligent Traffic Management System.

More than 100 DSPs, 800 sub-inspectors, and about 325 inspectors are positioned in the temple, according to a report by CNBC TV18. 11,000 police and paramilitary men are also working to ensure safety. In addition to all these, 3 DIGs, 4 company PACs, 17 SPs, 40 ASPs, 82 DSPs, 90 inspectors, and 1,000 constables are positioned for VIP security. There are about 250 police to share information about the famous tourist destinations with the devotees and pilgrims.
