Ramadan In UAE 2023: Here Are The Dates For Eid Al Fitr

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, brought in some news for all the UAE residents. Ramadan In UAE 2023 will see up to 14 hours of fasting per day and moderate spring temperatures. He further explained about the fasting hours, duration and also revealed the dates for Eid Al Fitr. 

Ramadan In UAE 2023: Eid Al Fitr Dates

Ibrahim Al Jarwan explained that the new Ramadan crescent would be born on Tuesday, March 21 at 21:23 p.m. As a result, the first day of Ramadan in the Hijri Year 1444 will most likely be Thursday, March 23, 2023. Eid Al Fitr is expected to begin on April 21. The new crescent for the month of Shawwal will be born at 8:13 a.m. on Thursday, April 20. This will be a spring Ramadan, as spring officially begins on March 21.

Temperatures in Ramadan 2023, he told the paper, will range from 17 to 35 degrees at the start of the holy month and from 17 to 36 degrees at the end. Fasting hours will be around 13 and a half hours from dawn to dusk at the start of the Holy Month, increasing to 14 hours and 13 minutes by the end.

During the Ramadan period, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Fasting is one of Islam’s five pillars, and it is an obligatory practice for all Muslims who are able to fast. They not only refrain from eating and drinking during the fasting hours, but they also read the Quran and offer additional prayers. The last 10 days of the month are considered to be the most important ones and the religious practices increase during that period. 

The UAE Cabinet recently confirmed holiday dates for the UAE’s public and private sectors. They also posted the same on their official social media handle.
