With 94 points each and Double Gold medals, Jaisalmer Gold Indian Craft Gin and Rampur Jugalbandi #3 have won Best World Whisky and Best Gin, respectively, at the prestigious John Barleycorn Awards. Other premium products of Radico Khaitan also received top honours: Rampur Asava and Rampur Double Cask Indian Single Malt Whiskies and Sangam World Malt Whisky.
To identify Double Gold ratings and the best in the category, Barleycorn initially blind-tasted the highest-scoring entries from the competition’s medals round twice. Radico Khaitan’s collection of premium spirits has been recognised for its high quality and distinctive features by the John Barleycorn Awards, which are renowned for honouring excellence in the spirits business. The John Barleycorn Awards are among the most prestigious accolades in the spirits industry, celebrating excellence in craftsmanship, innovation, and marketing.
Rampur Distillery sets itself apart from other whiskies in the globe with its creative approach to the ageing process of its whiskies. Because of the Himalayas’ year-round extreme weather and the taste of the well-known Indian Summer, Rampur Whiskies have more depth and complexity.

With a great deal of praise, the Rampur Jugalbandi #3 represents a tasteful fusion of various cask influences and is a part of Rampur’s avant-garde Jugalbandi series. The series showcases the age-old Indian musical tradition of duo performances. This is a limited-edition single-malt whisky that has been aged in port wine and American bourbon barrels. Tasting profiles include rich tropical fruit notes, lychee and mango undertones, spices, and a velvety finish with vanilla, prune, and sweet plum cake flavours. On the other hand, Jaisalmer Gin’s distinctive flavour profile is derived from its unique blend of botanicals. The gin is recognised for its opulent concoction of 18 botanicals, which includes European angelica root and juniper berries with saffron from different regions of India.
The meticulous selection and blending of botanicals highlight Radico Khaitan’s dedication to creating premium products. As Indian brands continue to gain international acclaim, the world is beginning to recognize the rich potential and diversity of Indian-made spirits.
