Every year, Republic Day is celebrated with pomp and glory at Kartavya Path. Glorious celebrations feature wonderful contributions by contingents of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and paramilitary forces. From witnessing the parade live to watching it on television, Indians begin the morning of January 26 by watching the events on TV. Girls’ Piper Band From Jharkhand Will Perform At Republic Parade

Jharkhand’s Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya caught India’s attention recently, with its students earning a place in the renowned parade celebrations at Kartavya Path. On January 26, a girls’ team from this school in the East Singhbhum district will participate in the Republic Day parade band. These young girls will represent their schools nationwide and create history by being part of something extraordinary like this event for the first time.
It is a proud moment for the school and the state to see a young team of girls travelling to Delhi to showcase their talent before the President in this remarkable parade. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Education Minister Ramdas Soren, and senior officials congratulated the team for their wonderful accomplishment.
Three schools will showcase their performance on the rostrum at Kartavya Path on Republic Day. Along with Jharkhand’s Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, schools from Sikkim and Tripura will participate in this splendid occasion. Students of the school in Jharkhand headed for Delhi on January 20.

Before getting chosen to perform at the parade, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya’s Piper Band team won the Zonal Level Band Competition hosted in Guwahati on December 22, 2024.
The Team’s Journey To Glory

The girls’ band worked hard to achieve this significant feat, that too at such a young age. School warden Rajni Murmu expressed her happiness about the achievement. She shared how it is an honour to see 25 students performing for this spectacular event. The Piper band will debut before the President at Kartavya Path in Delhi.
Dhirasen Soreng, State Programme Officer, believes the concerned departments selected Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya students for their precision and uniformity in playing tunes, according to a report by The New Indian Express.
