A recent survey revealed that Indians usually don’t book package travel deals, but prefer to book hotel and travel separately.

What Is It?

Only 21% of Indians preferred to book travel packages that involved travel and stay, whereas the rest booked their flight tickets and stay separately. In a survey, 93% Indians claimed that they book their stay within a week of booking flight tickets and 27% book if they’re getting a discount on their stay.

Indian travellers usually compromise of couples or solo men/women and they don’t usually grab a package deal with travel and stay. But it was noticed that regular travellers who are getting a good discount on package deals only tend to go for it.

What Else?

When it comes to booking package deals, only people travelling with families prefer group bookings, not people travelling in small groups. But that doesn’t mean India isn’t travelers. Indians showed to have taken higher number of flights as compared to anyone else in Asia. An Indian has averagely taken 7 flights within a year and that’s quite high considering other regions in Asia.

To encourage package deals, many websites are offering great discounts while booking package tours even if you’re booking for 2 or 3 people per trip. Which means, now you can travel and get more discounts too!
