Ropeways To Decongest Traffic In Himachal Pradesh In Pollution-Free Way

In a bid to boost tourism and decongest traffic, the Himachal Pradesh government has launched a multi-crore ropeway project. Tourists and locals in rural and urban areas can board the ropeways in the future to travel in a pollution-free manner across the hilly state. Here’s all about it.

Himachal Pradesh Spends Crores On Building Ropeways

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur revealed to Hindustan Times the multicrore ropeway project in the state will help the state tackle existing traffic issues in a pollution-free manner. Thakur also lauded the people of Himachal Pradesh for being more “environmentally aware in comparison to other states”. Under the Parbat Mala project, the government will build ropeways in Shimla and Mandi. The ropeway linking Pandoh Dam with a renowned temple is also underway.

Ropeways To Decongest Traffic In Rural & Urban Regions

Thakur also added that the government has spoken to Union Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari. This is regarding constructing ropeways in rural areas to improve connectivity in the regions. Travelling by ropeway is not just a hassle-free commute option for the wealthy. Himachal Pradesh seeks to empower its rural community through ropeways. He hailed ropeways as a pollution-free travel option for both urban and rural areas.
