Safe Drinking Water At 4 Mumbai Railway Stations As Central Railway Installs 10 Water Purifiers

 The Central Railway or CR has partnered with the Bhaba Atomic Research Centre or BARC and will soon be installing ten new state-of-the-art water purification systems across four major stations in Mumbai. This is being done with the aim of providing passengers with a clean and safe source of drinking water. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this particular initiative by the government.

According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, the initiative is being undertaken in order to ensure that the passengers have access to clean drinking water. In partnership with BARC, the Central Railway will install ten new water purification systems.

These water purification systems installed across four major systems are functional now. These are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus or CSMT, Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus or LTT and Dockyard Road.

These water purification systems are state of the art and will ensure that passengers have access to clean drinking water. As per an official cited in the article, these water purification systems are a part of the corporate social responsibility initiative at BARC.

To Provide Passengers With Clean Drinking Water

The general manager of the Central Railway, Ram Karan Yadav, carried out a thorough inspection of the installation of the water purification systems. The collaboration and the initiative were viewed as laudable.

The initiative also showcased CR’s attempt to safeguard the locals as well as the passengers to ensure that they are safe and get a reliable source of water where it is possible. These systems promote the safety and health of the passengers as well.

These membrane-based water purification systems are sure to benefit those who frequently travel via the stations, especially during the summer season.
