1. SalamAir To Begin Chennai Flights From July

SalamAir to Connect Muscat and Chennai, Enhancing Indian Network

SalamAir recently revealed that it is now expanding to the city of Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. Starting on July 11, SalamAir will be operating two weekly flights on Thursdays and Saturdays. The budget airline from Oman is going to connect Muscat and this dynamic city in South India, which is known for its pretty beaches and great cultural landscape.

2. Intelligent Traffic System Project To Soon Expand To 100% By 2026

Dubai RTA recently revealed that phase 2 of the Intelligent Traffic System Project will soon expand the coverage of the main road network. This will increase from 60% to 100% by 2026! What this means is that it will create a faster response time to incidents and also provide instant information to the public about the condition of the road. In case you’re wondering, this will be done via Variable Message Signs (VMS) and smart applications to help distribute traffic effectively.

3. Abu Dhabi Police Wins Prestigious Recognition

Abu Dhabi Police recently received the European Foundation for Quality Management Global Excellence Main Award 2024. This is big news, as it has become the world’s first policing organisation to win this award with a 7-diamond score. This award is certainly a recognition of Abu Dhabi Police’s excellence in administrative processes.

4. Madinath Health Cluster Raising Awareness Against Heat Stress

The Madinath Health Cluster has launched an awareness campaign. This is being done to educate visitors at the prophet’s mosque about heat stress. Focused on avoiding diets and light during peak hours, which is from 10 AM to 4 PM, it aims to help people realise the symptoms and not ignore them. As such, the Madinath Health Cluster has also been equipped with several city health facilities for treating huge stress and sunstroke cases.

5. Power Cuts Scheduled In Kuwait

Kuwait plans to carry out more scheduled power cuts. This comes at a time when temperatures are soaring in the Middle East. This is being done to reduce the demand for electricity and the dates have been listed and the areas where these power cuts will be happening. The Ministry of Electricity published these schedules and this will be happening during the peak periods between 11 AM to 5 PM. It’s worth mentioning that the scheduled cuts could last up to two hours if the need arises.
