In a heartbreaking turn of events, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor, Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, who played ‘Jasmine’ on the second season of the show, passed away in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh. Actor and producer, JD Majethia first shared this news on Instagram about the mishap that took place in the hills. The film and TV fraternity have taken to social media to share their condolences.
Vaibhavi Upadhyaya Passes Away After Car Falls Into Valley In Himachal
Vaibhavi Upadhyaya and her fiance were returning from the hills in Himachal Pradesh. The couple took a sharp turn and lost control of the car, and it fell into the valley. Her mortal remains are first being taken to Chandigarh where her family will reach soon. After which she will be brought to Mumbai by 11 am for the last rites.
The actress was known to have an absolute liking for the hills. Her last Instagram post was a video from Himachal Pradesh. The late Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor who made audiences laugh with her hilarious portrayal of Jasmine, Rosesh’s girlfriend with a thick Gujarati accent left a sweet impression in every viewer’s mind. The actress was a well-known face in both the Hindi TV industry and in the Gujarati theatre circuit.

Actor and producer of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, JD Majethia shared the unfortunate news on social media. Calling her a fine actress and a dear friend, Majethia sadly informed everyone she passed away. Deven Bhojani, her Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-actor and producer tweeted that it was shocking news as he informed his followers of her passing away.

Her co-stars, Rupali Ganguly who played Monisha on the show and Satish Shah who portrayed Indravadhan Sarabhai mourned her death. Rupali wrote in her Insta story, “Gone too soon” and also tweeted “This is not fair, gone too soon”. Satish Shah tweeted that Vaibhavi Upadhyay AKA Jasmine left for her heavenly abode. Calling her a fine actor and colleague, he stated that the whole Sarabhai vs Sarabhai team is in shock.
