Yes, this has been set by the date of issuance or even the date of travel. According to the authority, the validity of an exit and re-entry visa is three months. And this is from the date of the events. Additionally, the duration of the visa is based on the date of travel, no matter the term mentioned in the demand. This means whether it is 60, 90 or 120 days, this duration will be based on the date of travel.

Visitor Visa Can Be Extended Only Once
For a multiple-entry visit visa, a visitor visa can only be extended once, according to the passport system. After this, the passport holder is required to exit before their visa’s specified residency term expires. They can then enter and leave as often as they like, until their visa ends. However, as long as the multiple-entry visa is valid, the person holding this visa can use the same for several departure and return trips. But if the visa expires before the holder departs, they will be liable to pay a fine of SAR1000. This fine is required by the passport department to revoke a visa in such cases. And it’s only possible if the visa-issued person has a valid residency permit or even an Iqama.
So, if you are someone who is planning to travel to Saudi Arabia, in the coming days, you will want to be careful and depart from the country before your visa expires.
