Happening from February 10 to 18, the New Delhi World Book Fair is returning for its new edition in 2024. Famous for hosting a variety of books under a single roof, this is one of the most renowned book festivals in the country. And it was revealed on Tuesday, January 30 that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be the guest of honour at the event.

What Can You Expect From This?

What does means is that the kingdom’s stall at the fair will offer attendees a glimpse of Saudi Arabia’s rich culture. Yes, led by the Literature Publishing and Translation Commission and other cultural entities, this also included the Heritage Commission, Music Commission, Film Commission, Culinary Arts Commission, King Abdulaziz Foundation For Research & Archives and even Fashion Commission, as reported by the Arab News. So, people will get to attend seminars that will cover the kingdom’s culture, literature, and art. Additionally, it will also include cuisine and traditional performing arts.

NDWBF At A Glance

For those who are still unaware, the New Delhi World Book Fair is one of the most sought-after book events that happens in the nation. Launched in 1972, the festival celebrated 50 years in the previous edition. As such, over 1000 publishing houses are expected to participate in 2024! Not to mention, the event is organised by the National Book Trust of India, which is under the Ministry of Education.
