1. Stricter Passport Photo At The Indian Embassy In Kuwait

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait just announced that passport applications will only be accepted if the photographs meet international aviation standards. This comes into effect in September, and the change is in line with the International Civil Aviation Organisation requirements. And it has biometric and identity benchmarks for travel documents worldwide. Complying with this, the applicant will have to submit a coloured photograph that is sized 630 x 810 pixels. Not to mention, the head must occupy 80 to 85% of the frame, and it should be set against a plain white background.

2. Flash Floods Sweep Saudi Arabia’s Asir

Heavy rains that lashed the south-western region of Saudi Arabia resulted in flash floods. These flood waters swept through the streets of Muhayil Asir! As a result, several cars were washed away. This comes after the NCM warned of severe weather conditions on Thursday.

3. Erth Dubai Initiative Attracts More Than 5,000 Participants

Erth Dubai initiative, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum in February, has attracted over 5,000 participants. In just six months, it has achieved this massive feat, with there being social media engagements of one million. The launch of the new Erth Dubai mobile app, to broaden participation and make this initiative even more accessible.

4. Kuwait Embassy In Singapore Asks Nationals To Comply With Local Law

The Kuwait Embassy in Singapore asked its citizens to comply with the local law. Yes, with the ban on the use and import of electronic cigarettes, they can face fines. In fact, it can also result in prosecution and imprisonment. As a result, citizens have been asked to avoid carrying any such type of e-cigarette when they are in Singapore.

5. Abu Dhabi International Hunting And Equity Exhibition Returns Soon

The 22nd edition of ADIHEX will return on August 30th and will continue until September 7. With a gadget of more than 2,000 exhibitors, they will be showcasing a variety of products. In fact, 11 new countries will be participating in this event, which will be happening in an exhibition space of 92,000 m². With eight falcons slated for auction and 46 local and international falcon farms will be participating in the exhibition.

6. Dubai Residents Can Earn With Last-Mile Delivery

Under the Sandbox Dubai, this is a new pilot in collaboration with Amazon UAE. According to the new pilot, the on-foot last-mile deliveries will support flexible income. Not to mention, it would ease congestion and even reduce emissions.
