After gorging on vada pavs that clearly looked delectable, they started to reminisce about the early days of Manoj Bajpayee when he started his career. He was reminded of the time he stepped inside a disco for the very first time. In fact, it was blockbuster star Shah Rukh Khan who took him to a disco for the first time in his life. It was a very new concept for him. While everyone there was dancing and having fun, he stood in a corner sipping his wine. The thing that made him feel out of place the most was his chappals. He also mentioned that he felt like he was probably the poorest person in the crowd. But look where he is now!

Clearly, it was a different time when he started his career as an actor. Now, his life has turned around drastically. And that brought the question, when was the first time he felt he did something big, something significant?

Manoj Bajpayee shared that it was after Satya’s success that he felt like he has finally made it. He felt a sense of accomplishment and he thought that now he could do the kind of roles he wanted to. Once his talent was recognised, he released the opportunity in front of him.

But did it turn out exactly like he thought it would? Not really! After his performance in Satya, he was recognised as a villain and was offered similar roles. However, that wasn’t something he wanted to do. It was hard to turn down work and money, something he yearned for so much, but he stood his ground for what he really wanted.
