Sharjah Announces Reopening Of Khor Fakkan Tourist Hotspot Al Suhub Rest Area

Sharjah announced Al Suhub Rest Area in Khor Fakkan reopening It closed on July 27 due to adverse weather. The rest space, also known as Cloud Lounge, is once again welcoming visitors, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority tweeted. In 2021, the mountainside rest area known as Cloud Lounge made its debut. It stands 600 metres above sea level.

Khor Fakkan Reopens After Climate Crisis

The UAE locales hit hard by heavy rains last week, which compelled authorities to block numerous highways, transportation hubs, and tourist attractions for the protection of the populace.

Key routes reopened as the floodwaters subsided, and passenger transportation services between Sharjah and Kalba and Fujairah also started up again.

The UAE’s weather service, however, issued a new warning on Tuesday, advising residents to exercise extreme caution, be alert, and stay away from lowlands, landslides, and flooded streets.

Authorities Warned The Commuters In Abu Dhabi

Government-issued a warning to citizens about the dangerous weather as widespread flooding occurred. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Police warned people to avoid the Saa valley streams and any other streams in Al Ain City. Everyone was asked by the authority to exercise caution and to heed instructions and safety precautions.

Due to severe to considerable rainfall in numerous areas of the UAE, commuters have been advised to avoid valleys and dams.

Police announced the news on social media and issued an SMS to every resident. The Sharjah Police General Command acknowledged that the force is addressing the extreme weather situation around-the-clock and urged all citizens to take security orders and directions carefully. The flood-affected areas of Sharjah and Fujairah were the subject of a safety notice from the National Centre of Meteorology.
