If you’ve spent any time in the UAE, you already know that Thailand sits high on everyone’s travel wishlist. Sun, food, beaches, and more can actually fix your life, so what’s not to love? So Air Arabia’s latest move is going to make you happy. The Air Arabia airline has rolled out a new daily direct service between Sharjah and Krabi.
Air Arabia Adds Krabi To Its Network

The inaugural flight took off from Sharjah International Airport on 28 November 2025, according to a report by Arabian News. Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Phipat Ratchakitprakarn, along with senior officials from Air Arabia and Krabi Airport, welcomed the aircraft on arrival. It was a warm, official nod to a route both countries clearly see as important.
This isn’t just another addition to the schedule. It marks a strategic push to strengthen tourism, trade and travel links between the UAE and Thailand. And with Krabi officially joining Bangkok and Phuket on Air Arabia’s network, UAE travellers now have a trio of Thai destinations to choose from.
Why Krabi Makes Perfect Sense
Thailand has never stopped being popular among UAE residents. The demand barely dips. Families love it. Couples and Solo travellers love it. Even your colleague who swears he’s “not a beach person” will still say yes to Phuket.
So, adding Krabi was a smart move by Air Arabia. The region is famous for its white-sand beaches, coral reefs, dramatic limestone cliffs, sea caves and hot springs.
More Than Just Holiday Traffic
While the new route definitely caters to leisure travellers, it also boosts business and cargo opportunities. Daily flights mean better flexibility, smoother itineraries and more capacity for trade on a corridor that continues to grow.
Air Arabia expects strong demand throughout the winter, driven by relaxed visa rules, competitive fares and Thailand’s broad appeal across different types of travellers.

Part of a Bigger Travel Picture
This launch fits neatly into both countries’ long-term plans. Sharjah continues to position itself as a major regional hub, especially for affordable travel. Thailand, on the other hand, is working to diversify its tourism base and deepen ties with Gulf markets by increasing air connectivity and rolling out targeted promotion campaigns.
With this new daily service, Air Arabia is opening the door wider and giving UAE residents yet another excuse to pack sunscreen.
