The massive master plan for the Jebel Al Beach Development project has been approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The beach will be extending 6.6 km, which makes it the longest public beach in Dubai once it opens. It will become a distinctive recreational destination that will place a high priority on environmental preservation as well. Not to mention, the protection of the local ecosystem and wildlife will also be paramount.
Sheikh Hamdan has approved the architectural designs for this project’s buildings and facilities. As such, the architectural designs of the buildings and the facilities on the Beach Development Project are inspired by natural geometry. Drawing from shapes that have been found in marine nature, it will be using elements and materials that are available locally.
Yes, and it will feature a unique blend of functionality that is tailored for several beach activities and aesthetics. Offering exceptional services, facilities, and public amenities, new eco-tourism experiences will certainly help in amping up the experiences of beachgoers. Several measures and regulations have also been put in place for project turtles that will help them provide a safe nesting environment.

This Will Be The Longest Public Beach In Dubai

Coming to the urban experiences, infrastructure and services will be developed that will offer a variety of experiences to beach go. The aim is to create spaces that are rich in beaches, open areas and recreational greens. As a result, this will ultimately enhance the well-being of the city while creating a healthy environment for all. This beach development is a part of the broader master plan, which aims to develop public beaches in the emirate by increasing the total length by 400%. This will be the longest public beach, which will be stretching 6.6 km. It will cover an area of 330 hectares and the plan includes developing two areas. This includes a 5 km sand beach that will be developed by Nakheel and a 1.6 km Mangrove Beach, which will be developed by the Dubai Municipality.
More About The Project
The plan also includes a 2 km open swimming pool beach, 2.5 km diving sports area, a walkway with viewing platforms that will blend with the surrounding environment, and recreational and service areas for visitors of all ages. There will also be kid’s play zones, marine activity areas, and sports areas that visitors can enjoy. As a result, the beach will be divided into three locations as revealed by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Well-Being Pillar. Yes, this will be divided into the Pearl, the Sanctuary, and the Nest. Moreover, the beaches will be fitted with public health and service facilities like restrooms, shower areas, and changing rooms. And it will also feature about 1,400 parking spaces for cars and buses, which includes dedicated spaces for charging eco-friendly cars.
Moreover, two of the beaches will boast Wi-Fi internet services electronic screens, beach risk services that will be using the latest AI technology and enhanced beach monitoring through 100 modern cameras.
So, once this beach opens to the public, it is certainly going to draw in hoards of visitors
