Shimla Records An All-time Highest Temperature In March At 18 Degrees

Summers is around the corner, and we city people plan a summer trip to the mountains to get some cool air and live in an environment without much heat and pollution. However, thanks to global warming, pollution, and several other factors, mountains that once used to provide us coolness and comfort are facing tremendous heat now. On Thursday, Himachal’s Capital and one of the most-visited hill stations, Shimla, recorded 18 degrees celsius. It is also the all-time-high minimum temperature.

Weekend Rains And Thunderstorms Are Expected In Several Parts Of Himachal Over The Weekend

The report was shared by the Meteorological Centre. And with this, we can also expect some hot days in the region shortly. The Met Department also stated that a heatwave is likely to affect the districts of Solan, Mandi, Kullu, Kangra. and Chamba. And while the weather is expected to remain dry, thunderstorms and rains are also expected on the weekends. Meanwhile, the stunning town of Dharamshala also reported a high maximum temperature at 32 degrees. We can say that overall, Friday was one of the warmest days in Himachal Pradesh.

In its March-May report, the IMD stated that above normal maximum temperatures will be experienced in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Bordering northern Maharashtra, and west Madhya Pradesh with some areas of northeast will experience the same during March, April, and May.

The Months Of March, April And May Are Going To Be Hot For Almost All The States In India

For other states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Maharashtra, etc., normal or below normal maximum, temperatures are predicted. Keeping these predictions in mind, the upcoming months can get hotter. Hence, it’s better if we plan our travel accordingly and hydrate ourselves throughout.
