Besides the stiffness and any probable injury that one may face during long flights, dehydration is also another issue. One must drink ample water, as not drinking enough can lead to health issues or even motion and air sickness! In fact, professionals have emphasised on the need to stay active during a long-haul flight. This not only reduces stress but also improves blood circulation and enhances one’s mood. Another way to avoid such problems is to exercise.

Once the seatbelt sign is off, one can take a walk for 3 to 5 minutes whenever possible during the flight. Finally, people must ensure that they are properly hydrated. They must drink enough water, as it not only keeps the body hydrated but also reduces the risk of cramps and clots. An easy way to ensure your neck doesn’t cramp is to exercise. This is simple enough that you can do it on the seat itself! All you need to do is tilt your head forward and sideways till you feel a stretch in your neck muscle.

On a concluding note, don’t forget to eat well during your flight in order to maintain your energy level and stretch your arms and legs whenever possible to avoid cramping.
