So This Happened! Shashi Tharoor Runs Into “Tearaway Fast Bowler” Shoaib Akhtar At Dubai

India and Pakistan have always been a hot topic to discuss and the flurry of opinions that comes along is irrational sometimes. But a meeting between these two celebrated personalities from these two nations gave another output. The Indian Politician, Shashi Tharoor and the veteran Pakistani Cricket player bumped into each other at Dubai Airport and the conversation was quite peaceful. Let’s see what happened at the DXB Airport.

Shashi Tharoor Bumps Into Shoaib Akhtar At Dubai Airport

A discussion regarding the two nations and cricket ensued after senior Congressman Shashi Tharoor ran into former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar at the Dubai airport. The 47-year-old fast bowler was given high acclaim by Tharoor. The Indian bureaucrat described the cricket player and present anchor as a “smart and engaging man” with a sizable following in India.

On meeting, he revealed that similar to him Shoaib Akhtar also has quite a huge fan following in India. He specifically mentioned that the ones who came to him for selfies also wanted to get clicked with the cricket player. Shoaib was equally joyful about this meeting. Shashi Tharoor uploaded a post with him where Shoaib replied on it saying it was pleasant meeting the iconic politician.

Tharoor Was Taking A Return Flight To Delhi

Shashi Tharoor was in Dubai to attend two Bradford Literature Festival events. Post attending the event he was on his way back to New Delhi.

The strong subcontinental ethos is the tadka, Tharoor said, adding that it’s an absolute delight to be an attendant of the literature festival because of its welcoming environment and genuine admiration for ideas and writers.

The event featured a conversation by Tharoor on her sister Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan’s book, “Good Innings,” which is about their mother. Saeed Khan, an American academic, led a compelling investigation of Dr Ambedkar’s life and legacy, and according to Tharoor’s tweet, his gentle prodding made the hour fly by.

India will likely play Pakistan in Ahmedabad when the 2023 ODI World Cup schedule is unveiled Wednesday in Mumbai.

Akhtar stated earlier this year that he wants Pakistan and India to participate in the championship game.
