The New Jetty Near SoBo Is Finally Making Its Way!
Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) has finally confirmed the construction of a new jetty close to the very popular Bombay Presidency Radio Club. There have been so many obstacles on the way in the past decade and more. Be it discussions in the construction planning or issues regarding administration, the entire process took a long time. But all is well that ends well. And after waiting for more than a decade, South Mumbai’s Bombay Presidency Radio Club will be having a jetty next to it.

All You Need To Know About This New Project:
- The timeline for constructing this new jetty is surely going to be quite long. At least 3.5 years are needed for the project.
- The exact final cost has not been disclosed yet. According to several reports, the proposal cost for this jetty is more than ₹133.34 crores.
- Both the Maharashtra government and the Union government will be dividing the cost required to set up the jetty near the Bombay Presidency Radio Club. Both governments will be sharing the cost equally.
- As per the initial planning, the entrance of the jetty is exactly opposite the Belha Court building.
- The terminal building of this jetty to get look alike a container.
- The plan is to construct a total of 10 jetties.
- The construction is coming up with a wide capacity that is going to focus on new berthing facilities. These jetties are going to have a holding capacity of 20 ferry boats or 20 yachts.
- The project is also going to set up a walkway and a parking area.
