The countrywide lockdown has pushed us indoors and turned the empty roads outside into a vast national park, where wild animals are roaming freely with least human intervention. While the coronavirus scare has got all of us captivated, it has literally given a new lease of life to these gorgeous creatures. Here is a list of a few rare animals that have been spotted in various popular cities during these quarantine days.
1. Nilgai In Noida
A grand nilgai took over the streets outside Noida’s GIP Mall that had seemingly migrated from a neighbouring natural zone, accordingly Indian Forest Officer Parveen Kaswan.

2. Civet In Kerala
A small Indian civet was jaunting on the roads of Calicut in the afternoon hours, enjoying the fresh air. This civet, endemic to the Western Ghats, is one of the critically endangered animals, that was probably last spotted in 1990.

3. Sambhar In Chandigarh
A beautiful long-horned Sambhar deer was hiding behind the cars near a market area in Chandigarh. The forest authorities finally approached and rescued the creature, that was already frightened by the sight of the locals.

4. Olive Ridley Turtles in Odissa
The Rushikulya coast in Odissa saw a spectacular sight with 8 lakh olive ridley turtles coming out of the ocean in the wee hours of the night.
5. Bird Whirl In Ahmedabad
A giant flock of birds were seen whirling in the sky of Ahmedabad, that looked jaw-droppingly pretty, with a blend of peach pink and blue colours.

6. Dolphins In Mumbai
A school of dolphins were spotted frolicking in the Arabian waters near Mumbai’s Marine Drive coast. While dolphins aren’t new to this place, spotting them so easily is something that does not happen every day.
The sight of these uncommon creatures on the city streets that are otherwise jam-packed by humans is a clear sign that the earth is finally on its reboot mode.
