Sudden flight cancellations and delays are some of the biggest inconveniences for passengers these days. Every day, we see Netizens complaining about several airlines delaying or just cancelling scheduled flights. This time, a SpiceJet flight was cancelled three days before the trip. The SpiceJet passenger had not only faced trouble due to the flight changes but also faced issues with the refund as Cleartrip took a long time to process it.

SpiceJet Passenger Complained About Cleartrip Not Crediting Refund

सत्या (मगही लड़का)🇮🇳 ⚔️ (@EkangarMagahi) took to the X platform to share his experience and explain everything that happened in between till he received the refunded ticket amount.

According to the X post, the passenger booked Bengaluru-bound SpiceJet tickets from Patna for July 16. However, he was notified about the cancellation on July 13. Over 70 hours passed since the incident but there were no confirmed updates about the ticket refund amount being added to his account.

In the next post, the passenger added a screenshot showing that Cleartrip asked for cancellation charges for the cancelled SpiceJet flight. Cleartrip asked him to pay ₹1,600 for an overall cost of ₹26,996 for his tickets. Tagging the online travel agency, he asked why he should pay these charges when the airline cancelled the flight for its reasons. He requested the Government of India to take steps against this and also protect customers “from such boold (blood) sucking companies.”

Later, The Travel Company Refunded His Money

These X posts about slamming SpiceJet and Cleartrip for causing inconveniences grabbed everyone’s attention. Netizens also started commenting about air travel and airlines. Soon, his post reached Cleartrip too and this was the answer to all the troubles and problems he faced in the last few days.

The SpiceJet flyer updated X users that Snehal from Cleartrip contacted him about the unfortunate episode. The team processed the refund and soon the refund was also credited to his account.

He concluded the posts by recommending a better website UI to Cleartrip. Also, he asked the company to stop charging additional costs for flight cancellations when the issue relies on airlines.
