In this day and age of online food, grocery, medicine, gadgets and everything-in-the-world delivery, how can high-end gifting stay out of the curb? When it comes to Indians, one of our languages is gifting. Whether it’s gifting a box of mithai, fragrant flowers or a saree, it’s considered auspicious to gift the people you care for. With this in mind, Swiggy may consider branching out into the gifting segment. How do we know? Well, Swiggy is hiring a “gifting curator”. Here’s what it is all about!

Swiggy Is Hiring A “Gifting Curator”; High-End Gifts To Be Delivered

Shivangi Srivastava, assistant vice president of new initiatives at Swiggy took to LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) to announce a very interesting job listing. She revealed that the food delivery giant is looking for a “gifting curator”. A person who should be able to curate high-end gifting products in India and across the world. The food giant is looking to hire someone with “exceptional taste and aesthetic sensibility”. Her post ended with a call to action to message her for further details.

In no time, Netizens took to the comments section to share their thoughts on this unique job description. X user @shantanugoel cheekily commented if he could apply to be the “receiver of said gifts.” Author Dr Nandita Iyer said while she thinks she has exceptional taste and aesthetics, she wasn’t sure about a full-time job. @Pulkit_Saraf said he is in if it pays exorbitantly. @kshitijkulsh joked if Swiggy was looking for a chief of staff like its rival Zomato.

Netizens Are Amused With This Job Description

@Rahul_Kawadkar replied that it seemed like an interesting job. And he was surprised such jobs even existed in the first place. But he wonders what is the value creation of such jobs. But he did remark that he isn’t any industry expert on the same. @ankit_valdariya grabbed the opportunity to thank Swiggy for solving the gifting issue. He revealed his wife and he spent countless hours deciding on “thoughtful gifts” on occasions.
