14-year old Tanmay Agarwal from Ahmedabad aspires to become a successful engineer someday. For now, he sells kachoris after school to support his family. At this tender age, he earns bread for his family and also continues his education parallelly. The daily work ritual of Tanmay is quite different from the other kids of his age. Every day, Tanmay wakes up early in the morning, studies from 6 AM to 10 AM and then goes to school. After school, he heads to his family kachori shop at Maninagar Railway Station, Ahmedabad. Tanmay sells crispy dahi kachoris and samoses that attract a large number of customers.
Tanmay Is Supporting The Kachori Business Of His Family
For around two years, Tanmay has been supporting the kachori business of his family. His family members prepare the kachoris at home. They then take the kachoris to the shop and sell them at ₹10 per piece. Tanmay’s story was brought to light by food blogger Doyash Pathrabe, who shared his video on Instagram. Sharing Tanmay’s video, Doyash wrote, “Do help him. He is just 14 years old and selling Dahi Kachori only at 10/-. Location: Opposite Maninagar Railway station, Ahmedabad Gujarat… So so proud … Need this to be share and help him !! He Is Just 14 Years Old …Helping his family and working hard on it.” The video went viral of social media platforms and netizens poured in their love and blessings for Tanmay.

Tough Times Don’t Last, Tough People Do
After the video went viral, YouTuber Tanna Dhaval visited his family at their rented house where they make the kachoris. Tanmay sells kachoris at his family stall from 6 PM to 9 PM. From kneading the dough to pulling the fried kachoris out from the karhai, everything is done in the family kitchen solely by Tanmay’s father, mother and sister. Commenting on Dhaval’s video, a YouTube user named Rahil Kherani wrote, “When I was 14 years old, I used to sell cold drinks on street like him for ₹3. I too belong to Gujarat. Today I’m a fund manager. Tough times don’t last but tough people do… A bright future is waiting for this boy!”
