Tere Gully Mein is all about how well our guests know their cities. In this episode, we have a popular television star and a Marathi film debutant, Tejasswi Prakash. With Kamiya Jani, or Editor-in-Chief at Curly Tales, she explored South Bombay the British way on an open electric Victoria carriage.
Tejasswi Prakash On Mumbai Rains
Tejasswi reveals that being a Mumbai girl, she used to travel by local train daily. Also, travelling by it was such a task. She further narrates that she was living in Goregaon and had classes in Borivali and Dadar. So, travelling to these places back and forth was a daunting task. And an absolute nightmare during the rainy season. The Mumbai rains are a messy affair if you are travelling for a long distance. The mud on your jeans is horrifying and disastrous. She also adds that it is difficult for her to digest when people from outside happen to love Mumbai rains.
Mumbai Local Journey
Tejasswi’s majority of Mumbai diaries are filled with travelling in local trains. She agrees that they are a cheap and time-saving alternative instead of travelling by road. Further, she recalls grabbing a vada pav outside the station and eating it on the train. And being a foodie, she recommends that we should try the popular lassi from Kailash Lassi outside the Dadar station. They are known to serve the creamiest drink you have ever known.
Though Tejasswi is not a talkative person, she did share a lot of her life experiences and future plans with us. If you are interested in knowing more about it, then tune in to the video linked above.
