This Year, Thailand Is The Top International Honeymoon Destination

Where are Indian couples travelling for their honeymoon? Well, to provide answers to all your questions, MakeMyTrip released the ‘How India Travels for Honeymoon’ report. Comparing booking data from October 2023 to September 2024 and from October 2022 to September 2023, the travel company evaluated the findings and changes in people’s evolving demands over the years.

Thailand has surpassed Maldives to become the top international honeymoon destination. According to a press release, MakeMyTrip reported the most share of honeymoon package bookings in 2023-24. Thailand saw a significant jump in its booking share between October 2023 and September 2024. It recorded a growth of 5.2 per cent year-on-year. The top five international destinations among honeymooners are:

1. Thailand
2. Maldives
3. Indonesia
4. Mauritius
5. Vietnam

In addition to these picturesque overseas countries, Indian couples have shown interest in exploring several other breathtaking destinations too.
