When travelling abroad, along with finding the right accommodation, planning an itinerary, and estimating a budget, there is also the stress of carrying cash, exchanging currency, or searching for ATMs. However, travellers in Thailand may no longer have to worry about that, as the country has launched a new campaign called “Pay Like a Local.” Read on to know more!

Thailand Has Launched ‘Pay Like A Local’ Campaign

Under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Thailand’s Tourism Authority (TAT) has launched a new campaign called ‘Pay Like A Local.’ As per NDTV, with this initiative, travellers will be able to make payments across Thailand using the banking apps and e-wallets they already use in their home countries.

Payments in Thailand are now quicker and easier with the Cross-Border QR Payment system. This means that whether you’re enjoying street food or shopping, all you have to do is scan a QR code and pay through your banking app or e-wallet.
