Coming back to Dubai at City Centre Mirdif from October 9 to 18, we are here to tell you about everything you can expect at this upcoming event.
9th Reading Box Returns To Dubai
If you also consider yourself a self-confessed bibliophile, then you will certainly want to attend the night edition of the Reading Box. Returning to Dubai in October, the event aims to expand the intellectual horizons of children and adults. As revealed by the Dubai Media Office, this initiative, which falls under the umbrella of the School of Life Initiative will feature 55 inspiring sessions. From poetry evenings to creative workshops, activities will offer visitors a unique opportunity to enrich their knowledge and develop skills in storytelling, literary writing, and even Arabic calligraphy. Not to mention, they will also get a chance to engage in conversations with some writers, intellectuals, poets, and even heritage experts, not only from the UAE but even abroad.

The Reading Box will be returning to Dubai for its ninth edition with a variety of workshops and talks. Yes, offering community the opportunity to develop leadership skills and discover the aesthetics of literature and narrative storytelling. Not to mention, their sessions what is whom, by Amar Rati or Sara Gal Dhaari and 3-D paper craft activity by graphic designer, artist and educator Afreen Nizam are certainly worth checking out for young children.
As it happens, they are also offering an Arabic Calligraphy on Book Covers workshop with Hazem Kurdali, which is perfect for youth and adults who wish to explore the art. In fact, there is also a ‘Let Us Grow’ healthy session wherein the nutrition coach and personal trainer Nouf Al Watban will be conducting a workshop. This has been designed for expecting parents and for those who wish to cultivate healthy eating habits in their children. And the ‘Power of Poetry Panel,’ will be moderated by Naouel Chaoi, who is a professor of modern literature and training and research officer at the United Nations. This session will feature some notable names. Together, they will be discussing the power of poetry as a means of personal expression and emotional depth.
