What’s In It?
Located within Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination in Abu Dhabi, the cafe is a quaint spot with everything to love about. Launched as a part of the ‘Be the Change’ campaign led by the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, this is the first cafe in the UAE functioning with a full staff of people of determination. The soft launch of the cafe happened this month and ever since then it has created a buzz.
The Bee Cafe cafe boasts a slick and modern interior, but what makes it even more special is its staff. The cafe currently employs six people who received prior training in barista, customer service and hospitality. The team can now comfortably take orders, make food and serve it to the customers.
On the menu foodies can spot cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites. We also hear their Spanish latte is a must-have when here. The cafe also sells home-made vegan cookies (I Can) made by Alia Al Zaabi, a gymnast with Down’s syndrome. Although the cafe does not have a full-fledged food menu at the moment, guests can binge on a host of baked goods in the near future.
The interiors are designed keeping in mind the needs of the staff. Access for wheelchairs, height-adjustable cabinets, lowered rounded tables and anti-skid tiles are some of the features in the cafe.
The cafe is currently open from 8am to 1pm on weekdays.

UAE’s telecom companies have taken a step further in their efforts to reach out to all in the country. They have now introduced special packages people of determination. The people of determination can now enjoy most of the telecom services for as low as 50% of previous prices. These include discounts on mobile data, TV, and home internet packages.

With Etisalat, they can enjoy a half-price on monthly rental packages of TV, Internet and Phone. One time data packs and Recurring data packs will also be available for a neat 50% discount. Additionally, the people of determination can now use VoIP services that are Internet Calling Service subscriptions with Botim and C’Me for absolutely free.
