Amrith Ice Creams: Bangalore’s Neighbourhood Ice Cream Parlour
Amrith Ice Creams is the brainchild of M N Sarathy. With a background in dairy technology, Sarathy imported hi-tech machines from Denmark to start his own ice cream parlour in 1993. He was joined by his sister Rajalakshmi. The siblings converted their garage into a quaint ice cream parlour.
Over time, Amrith Ice Creams became a household name in the locality. Grandmothers bring their grandchildren for a post-meal dessert. Teens hover around for a creamy scoop of ice cream to beat the sweltering summer heat. It’s Malleswaram’s best-kept secret!
