Distance Between Male & Kochi By Sea Is 700Km
Keeping in mind the influx of tourists between the two countries, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between PM Narendra Modi and Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. And while talks for ferry rides to the Maldives started nine years back, the idea seems to connect the two countries seem to materialise now. Did you know that the distance between Kochi and the Maldivian capital, Malé via sea is around just 700km? The same distance can be covered in 24 hours but it will be worth your time. The distance between Kochi and the Maldivian capital, Malé via sea route will take you less than what it takes you to travel from eastern to western India by train. The distance from Kochi till the Kulhudhuffushi atoll (a halt for the suggested ferry route) is around 500 km which is equally beautiful.
