In the wake of the second wave of the pandemic, Delhi is facing an acute shortage of oxygen supply and hospitals beds. In the last few weeks, the Capital has witnessed helpless people running from one hospital to another for beds, oxygen providers running out of oxygen, patients succumbing to death due to oxygen shortage and whatnot. Amid the harrowing crisis, some hotels in the city are coming to the aid of the patients. Here are the hotels in Delhi that have been converted into hospitals now for COVID patients:
Golden Tulip Hotel Sector 29, Gurgaon ( For Elderly Patients)
Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, in partnership with I am Gurgaon and Emoha Elder Care, has dedicated a 60 bed Covid Care Center for COVID positive elderly people in the Golden Tulip Hotel, Sector 29, Gurgaon. A press note on the initiative from Sarovar Hotels reads, “In a time when the pandemic is causing so much stress for our elders, we hope this will bring relief and will be a ‘home’ for elders to recover in peace with dedicated oxygen concentrators, on-site clinical and nursing attention, vitals monitoring, online activities for emotional wellbeing and most importantly a caring homely atmosphere.”
Red Fox Hotel, Sector 60, Gurgaon
Red Fox Hotel, Gurgaon has partnered with Medanta Medicity to provide early care to mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic COVID patients. The hotel has offered 154 rooms. The rooms are medically supervised and will have 24/7 nurses and the patients’ health will be reviewed by the doctors. The facility will also offer 3 meals per day, along with Wifi. This property also comes under Lemon Tree Hotels. It has medically supervised rooms with oral medication, ensured early intervention and decreased risk of the advanced outcome. Vivanta Dwarka
Vivanta Dwarka, which comes under IHCL hotels, has been converted into a quarantine facility for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic COVID-19 patients. The hotel-turned hospital will assign an on-site doctor and nurse to keep a check on vital parameters. The hotel is offering care by partnering with Venkateshwar Hospital. ITC Welcomhotel Dwarka
ITC has converted select Welcomhotels across India into quarantine facilities for asymptomatic & mildly symptomatic patients, where partner hospitals will provide medical care.
