• Uttarakhand
  Uttarakhand, another Himalayan state blessed with natural splendour, has also joined the fight against litter. The government has issued strict directives to authorities to inspect all incoming vehicles for the presence of waste bins or bags. By preventing illegal dumping, Uttarakhand aims to protect its rivers, forests, and mountains from the scourge of pollution.
• Himachal Pradesh
  The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dealt a significant blow to litterbugs by mandating that all tourists carry garbage bags in their vehicles.
