Dogs are surely the most adorable ones on this planet, and pet parents absolutely love their babies. Well, this couple, Jess and Greg Stone, took their love for their pet, a German Shepherd, to another level. The duo one day decided to go on a bike trip across the globe, but not without their 6-year-old, Moxie. The globetrotting couple has by far travelled across 90 countries on 2 bikes with their German Shepherd.
Couple And Their German Shepherd Are Travelling Across The Globe
Jess and Greg ride their respective bikes, and Moxie travels behind Jess in a carrier. The couple jointly owns RUFFLY, an ethical outdoor dog gear brand. The name of their journey, GoRUFFLY Around the World, was influenced by the way they pay for their travel expenses.
To remain on the road, however, the dog needs more than just a seatbelt; it also needs food, documents, and other supplies. The shipping and flight schedules are scheduled, and they obtain all necessary paperwork on the fly, including Moxie’s dog passport and visas.
According to Jess, the United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) did not allow dogs from nations with a high risk of rabies to enter the country without a permit when they first set out in 2022. Afterwards, you submit an application for the actual permission. The dog can only enter the country by air, even with a permit, and not by land.

Hassles To Find Pet-Friendly Accommodations
Jess explains that finding pet-friendly accommodations is not easy, as dogs might not be accommodating of other pets in their proximity. Hence, she calls finding a place a double-edged sword.
The couple says that travelling with Moxie has helped them connect with her on a deeper level. As pet parents, they did not even think of globetrotting without her. In addition to their own finances, the couple’s travels with their German Shepherd are sponsored by corporate sponsors like Zesty Paws.
She further explained that, though she has to change Moxie’s food many times depending on the climate and surroundings, her system accepts it pretty well. Though there are days when Moxie’s stomach gets upset, that’s how the nature of travel is.
