The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is known to come up with facilities and tour packages that make passengers’ travel experiences memorable. The corporation has proposed to operate the Bharat Nepal Ashtha Yatra tour package from March 31 on the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. The tour package will be in keeping with the “Dekho Apna Desh” plan of the Modi government.

IRCTC’s Bharat Nepal Ashtha Yatra will be a 10-day tour that will begin on March 31, which is just a day after Ram Navami. This pilgrimage, under the Modi government’s  “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative, which was started to promote special interest circuits in domestic travel, will highlight important pilgrim and heritage sites.

Destinations Covered

The tour package will cover four important sites. 

Ayodhya: Hanuman Garhi, Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Nandigram, and Saryu Ghat

Kathmandu: Swaymbhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Durbar Square

Varanasi: Sankat Mochan Temple, Ganga Aarti at Varanasi Ghat, Tulsi Manas Temple, and Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and Temple.

Prayagraj: Hanuman Temple, Ganga-Yamuna Sangam

Meals, Inclusions And Conditions

For lunches on trains, only vegetarian dishes are included in the package. Off-board veggie meals will also be available in fine restaurants, hotels, banquets, and packed meals.

A total of 600 places, 300 of which are standard and the remaining 300 are superior, are available on the train, which only has 3AC class. All transfers and excursions on non-AC buses are included in the package. Travel insurance, meals, transport, and sightseeing are included in the package.

According to the official website, all passengers have to carry their COVID-19 final dose certificate and Aadhar card or voter ID. All visitors must abide by the mandatory health warnings given by the countries or local authorities they are visiting. The COVID-19 full vaccination document is required for landmark sightseeing and temple darshan. Throughout the trip, every passenger needs to have their vaccination certificate with them, either physically or digitally.
