This 75 year old  South Indian Restaurant in Bangalore is now a savior of Bangalore’s hungry college folks.

Scrumptious Dosas Within Budget

Vidyarthi Bhavan known for serving crispiest Masala Dosa at INR 50 is 75 years old . It has been a favorite pit stop in between lectures for students. Because we know how tricky living on a shoestring budget in college can get. Since its inception this restaurant has been serving school students with their scrumptious crispy Masala Dosa .

Mostly, the restaurant is  crowded and you may have to wait for a minimum of 15 minutes to grab a table and sometimes even on sharing basis. The waiters wing it by carrying nearly 10 plates of dosas at once . And don’t worry the restaurant ensures the quality of the food is maintained despite the never-ending food orders.

The History Of The Restaurant Dates Back To 1943

You wonder why it is so cheap?

Vidyarthi Bhavan runs on the vision of catering to the hunger pangs of students in nearby schools and colleges. The taste and budget rates became an instant hit with the students of National High School and the word spread quickly . The history of this restaurant  dates back to 1943. And what’s still so iconic about this restaurant is that it still serves the crispiest, filling , masala dosa under just Rs 50/- .
